Which mobile phone brand is the most popular?

Given the speed of technological advancements and a slew of new mobile phones hitting the market every week it is no wonder the virtual wars of 'who is the best' among blogger and commentators are raging more then ever.   Some light on which brand customers like the best can be found in  a report from last week by Toni Sacconaghi, a Bernstein Research analyst : 95% of current iPhone users in Europe and North America plan on repurchasing an iPhone now, and 85% of iPad customers plan on repurchasing another iPad some time down the line as well. Bernstein Research also surveyed other smartphone users and found that 75% of Android users plan to repurchase another   Android device, 58% of BlackBerry users plan on doing similarly, while just 37% of Windows phone owners intend on sticking with the platform. Apple has 'more to show' on October 23

Apple has distributed invitations to special event on Tuesday, October 23, at the California Theatre in San Jose, with the tagline "We've got a little more to show you." The Wall Street Journal, has reported that Apple is planning to unveil a new, smaller iPad. The Journal has reported that Apple's Asian suppliers have started to produce components for a new tablet smaller than the current iPad. The new model is expected to compete with tablets released by Google, Amazon, and with Microsoft's Surface tablet, set to go on sale later this month. Both the day of Apple's latest event and the venue are unusual. Apple product-release events are usually held on Wednesdays, either in San Francisco or at the company's campus in Cupertino, Calif.
